Learning Outcomes: This kind of activity is especially good for students who intend to live in a new city while studying, as it encourages learners to learn about the city.

After in our chat room, they will answer some questions:
Have the students visited London?
What kinds of things have they done?
What kinds of things would they like to do in the future?
2. Now, in pair, students will discuss what types of things they like to do when they visit a new city.
3. Each pair will make a plan for a day in London. I will give the students a few websites to use for research (eg: http://www.visitlondon.com/, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London, or www.timeout.com/london/). It might also be useful to give them maps of the city or to refer them to a website that includes a map.
4. I will ask students to complete a worksheet like this:
Time:
Activity:
Location:
Cost:
Short Description of Activity:
PART II:
1. I will give students time to prepare a short presentation on their day out together.
2. They will present their London Itinerary plan. At the same time, have other students write down a question or two about each presentation. Allow time for questions after each presentation.
Assessment/Reflection: Activities using chat room, youtube and other resources take advantages to start using computers into our classes. This lesson plan is a good English teacher tip because takes little time to prepare, can easily be adapted to suit learners and should be interesting and motivating for our students.
Extension: Students can post in forums about London Itinerary.
THE END!
